Doyers Street is a one car wide 200-foot-long street in the heart of Chinatown. The bend in the street became known as "the Bloody Angle" because of numerous shootings among the Tong Gangs of Chinatown that lasted into the 1930s. Hatchets were frequently used, leading to the creation of the expression, "hatchet man". In 1994, law enforcement officials said that more people died violently at the "Bloody Angle" than at any other street intersection in the United States.

Public Art, Under the Brooklyn Bridge. Tom Fruin created Kolonihavehus, 2010, a garden house inspired by Copenhagen’s ubiquitous kolonihavehus sheds that sheltered state workers from cramped living conditions in the city. Fruin, who often works with reclaimed and discarded materials, composed Kolonihavehus from roughly one thousand locally-sourced scraps of colorful salvaged Plexiglas. It includes such details as a pivot mounted door with hand-made hinges and several operable windows

42nd Street is a major crosstown street in the New York City borough of Manhattan, known for its theaters, especially near the intersection with Broadway at Times Square. It is also the name of the region of the theater district (and, at times, the red-light district) near that intersection. The street has held a special place in New Yorkers' imaginations since at least the turn of the 20th century, and is the site of some of New York's best known buildings, including (east to west) the United Nations, Chrysler Building, Grand Central Terminal, Times Square and the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

In the summer of 2001, Firefighter Gerard Baptiste, FDNY Ladder Company 9, purchased a battered 1979 Honda Motorcycle. Gerard believed that he could restore it. His fellow firefighters joked it would take time & money just to start the engine. Following Gerard's death in the North Tower on 9/11, The broken down motorcycle remained at the firehouse until a memorial tribute in Backroads magazine inspired Baptiste's colleagues to restore the bike in his memory. Surviving members of Ladder Company 9, with support from American Honda transformed the motorcycle into a "bike of healing" known as the Dream Bike. Ten roses painted on the cover of it's gas tank symbolise the firefighters of Ladder Company 9 and Engine Company 33 who were killed on September 11.

Red Tailed Hawk Vs. The Rabbit Predators are part of a food chain, the process of passing energy from one organism to the next. 1. Plants are the first link in the food chain, they use the sun's energy to make food. 2. Plant eaters, also called herbivores, enter the picture next. 3. Predators, such as birds and foxes, join the food chain by eating the plant eaters. These predators may become food for the next guy up. Without predators, certain species of prey would drive other species to extinction through competition. Without prey, there would be no predators. This relationship is vital to the existence of life as we know it.

Harvey is a fire boat formerly of the New York City Fire Department in New York City, famed for returning to service following the September 11, 2001 attacks. She is among the most powerful fire boats ever built, capable of pumping up to 18,000 gallons of water a minute. Launched in 1931, the John J. Harvey had an unexpected encore. Shortly after the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, the boat assisted in evacuations from Ground Zero then pumped water for more than 80 hours until water mains were restored.
